First… do you know if your mortgage is Fannie Mae owned? You need to find out and its as simple as going to Fannie Mae Loan Look up and typing in your address.

I just want to point out that Foreclosure should always be the very VERY last resort. It is so common these days that it is getting easier and easier to get help whether it be a loan modification, short sale or a deed in lieu. Do some research like Joni says and KNOW YOUR OPTIONS
