Arlington, Washington is the scenic northern gateway to the Mountain Loop Highway and is located about 10 miles north of Everett and about 40 miles from the northend of Seattle.
The city limits cover approximately 8 square miles. Located just a little further east is the town of Darrington and just to the south is the city of Marysville.
It began as a lumber town with shingle mills, sawmills, and logging camps and today there are still many historical buildings that add to Arlington's small town charm. Located behind the historic log Pioneer Hall on a large acreage with a picturesque pond, is the impressive new museum which contains artifacts typical of earlier life in Arlington and the Stilly Valley.

Situated near the banks of the Stillaguamish River, Arlington offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, including fishing, river rafting, and hiking. Future plans include Arlington being part of the Centennial Trail System which is a walking, jogging, biking, and horseback riding trail that will one day stretch from Skagit County in the north to King County in the south.
Arlington business and commercial industries have increased significantly around the city's municipal airport. Just at the airport there are over 160 companies employing over 2500 people.

Plan to attend Arlington's nationally known NWEAA Fly-in event held the second full weekend of July. This is the third largest Experimental Aircraft Association Fly-In in the country featuring hundreds of aircraft from Ultralight to Antique as well as daily aerobatics shows. Arlington is also the home of the Air Station Museum.
Cascade Valley Hospital serves the area with a 48 bed hospital and 8 primary and specialty care clinics.
